Wirtz Elementary School — Mural Project
Mural project at Wirtz Elementary School, Paramount, CA. Fifth grade teacher, Erik Caruso, partnered with five contemporary artists to bring a gallery to the walls of this inner city school. We worked through the weekend in February 2012 to bring the walls of Wirtz to life. On Monday morning 750 students arrived at school stunned by the explosion of artwork that had landed on their school. I provided a lecture to each class as they visited my mural. The power of these kids blew my mind!! I was honored to participate in this mural project along with artists, Rich Jacobs, Tim Kerr, Albert Reyes, and Yusuke Hanai.
LA郡パラマウント市にあるWirtz（ワーツ）小学校の壁画のプロジェクトに参加させていただきました。エリック・カルーゾ先生の指揮のもと五名のコンテンポラリーアーティストが集まり（殺風景だった）小学校の壁に壁画を書きました。二月のある週末を使い、一気にかき上げ壁に命を吹き込みました。翌日の月曜日には何もしらされていない750名の生徒が登校、アートの壁画にびっくり仰天の表情でした。私はクラス毎に行進してくる生徒達に絵の説明とちょっとしたレクチャーをしました。子供達のパワーには本当に感動いたしました。この壁画プロジェクトに参加できた事誇りに栄誉に思います。参加アーティスト：リッチ・ジェイコブス、ティム・カー、アルバート・レイズ、ユウスケ・ハナイ、セイタク・タク・アオヤマ
